Everton FC Heritage Society
Heritage Talks and Social Evenings – Spring Series Programme 2026
Members of Everton FC Heritage Society have long-wished to have been able to introduce a programme of talks / social evenings with the ideal opportunity to share research, give short talks, or chat more generally and share information.
Consequently, we have put on a monthly programme to cater for that aspect of the Society activity. (NB Our regular match day exhibitions and stalls at the rear of The Bluehouse (Fulton Street, opposite Hill Dickinson Stadium) will still continue unaffected).
Events Programme
Dates: 8 January / 5 February / 5 March / 2 April / 7 May. First Thursday of the Month – September to May.

First event:
8 January – Rob Sawyer and Gavin Buckland – ‘Catterick and Kendall – Comparing and Contrasting Everton’s Managerial Giants’
The rest of the programme is more or less in place, and further details will, of course, be released as soon as practicable.
Tickets
EFCHS Members have a short priority window to book tickets for all events, before tickets are released to non-members.
Events at this stage are planned to be free, but we may have to charge for a future special guest events. There will be an emphasis on our own historians and researchers with occasional guest speakers. There will not be a series of former players, managers, celebs etc appearing every month. There are a plethora of such events held on a regular basis elsewhere, and we do not aim to compete, but to put on something akin to what the Society is about.
Publicity
We will advertise any remaining tickets on our social media accounts
We do hope will attend the events, as it will be a chance to hear about some of our latest research and some of the previous work carried out by our authors and historians. There will be breaks to chat with friends and to refill your glass, and the opportunity to get involved in Q & A sessions after the talks.
We hope to see you on the 8 January!
Regards
Social Events Committee

Venue

Our venue is that renowned establishment, and haunt of Evertonians, The Denbigh Castle. Everton-themed events are frequently held there, plus it is part of the pre and post match routine for many fans. Situated in Hackins Hey off Dale Street near the Town Hall, it is a short walk from Moorfields Station.
We have the downstairs function room from 8 January 2026 and, after that, the first Thursday of the month until May. It is a small intimate area, holding around 50 people, with its own bar and toilets (therefore avoiding unnecessary trips up and downstairs during the evening).
